Chiropractic Research

A 2011 study by nine doctors using PET scan technology (neuro-imaging technique) found that a chiropractic adjustment did the following:

1. Sympathetic tone was inhibited (i.e., anti-stress effect).

This means that your body has a harder time feeling stressed when you get adjusted.

2. Salivary amylase was decreased (drop in the feeling of being stressed).

This is a measurement of the type of saliva that is present in someone that is highly stressed.

3. Regional brain metabolic changes (the brain is greatly influenced by the spine).

Your brain becomes more efficient and more able to deal with stress.

4. Decreased muscle hypertonicity (relaxation of muscles)

An adjustment can have a drastic effect on relaxing the muscle around the neck, shoulder and elsewhere that’s associated with tension when one is stressed.

5. Decreased pain intensity (feeling better)

What does this all mean?

This proves that no matter your age, your health, your heritage or your genetics, your SPINAL INTEGRITY will determine your NERVE SYSTEM FUNCTION!

Your back is your lifeline.  Your back determines whether or not you are always stressed.

Chiropractic is a healing art that has been in existence since 1895.  With more and more research showing the efficacy of chiropractic, it’s no wonder that chiropractic has been one of the most popular health care choices for many in the city of Mississauga.
